Ishmael ‘Ish’ Morabe to Launch New Album At Can Do! Campus Refresh Concert [press release]

Taking to the stage at Medunsa in Tshwane, Ishmael ‘Ish’ Morabe will be launching his new solo album, titled ‘I’m the Ish’ at the next free CAN DO! Campus Refresh Tour concert on Saturday, 28 March 2015 – a party not to be missed!

Morabe started his music career in the early 90’s with his hip hop group, Prophets of Da City (POC),pioneers of South African hip hop. Since then he has been a part of music groups such as Skeem and Jozi deciding to fully pursue a solo career this year by releasing his new album.

At the launch on Saturday, Ishmael will be showcasing his solo career, when fans are sure to be treated to a live rendition of ‘Injabulo’, the latest hit from his new album.

Partygoers can also expect explosive performances by JR, Dr Malinga, Kwesta, Tuks, Professor, Zola, Kelly Khumalo, Mandoza, Chomee, Arthur, Ma-E, Kid X, Brickz, Toshi, Winnie Khumalo, DJ Kgotso M, Wanda Baloyi and DJ AJ.

The launch forms part of the CAN DO! Refresh Tour concerts, inspired by socially conscious and responsible South Africans, as well as the freshest new sounds.

This year, CAN DO! is rocking the student scene as the tour is set to visit five university campuses across South Africa and unleash the can-only party! “Through the concerts we want to encourage all partygoers to join the change to refresh South Africa’s thinking, our future and refresh the world,” says Alexandra Bouwer, marketing manager for Nampak Bevcan’s CAN DO! brand.

Only cans will be allowed at the event so bring your cooler boxes and unleash the party with a can in hand. Gates will open at 6.00pm and entrance to the concert is free, but limited to over 18s.

Collect-a-Can will be onsite to collect all cans for recycling, during and after the event.
