The committee of the Jerusalemites detainees committee Sunday said that Israeli police arrested 47 Palestinians in the city of Jerusalem since the beginning of July and released them under the condition to not access Al-Aqsa Mosque and the old city for different periods of time.

Head of the committee Amjad Abu Assab said Israeli police arrested several Palestinians during Eid el Fitr after raiding their homes and interrogating them and family members for several hours.

He explained that the Israeli government is targeting Palestinians who frequently pray and stay at Al-Aqsa Mosque to empty it and allow settlers to freely enter the compound without any restrictions.

Abu Assab predicted that Israel will arrest more Palestinians in the upcoming days.
