Israeli Forces Detain 16 Palestinians in West Bank Raids

Israeli forces Tuesday detained 16 Palestinians in predawn detention raids across the West Bank, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society and security sources.

Forces detained four Palestinians after storming and ransacking their family houses in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, in the southern West Bank.

The detainees were identified as Ali Dairiya, 22, his brother, Issam, 21, Imad Dairiya, 19, and his brother, Adel, 18.

To the south of Bethlehem, in Hebron district, forces detained Yusef Samamra, 45, during a predawn raid into Adh-Dhahiriya town, south of the city.

Another Palestinian identified as Hamza al-Alami, 20, was detained during a dawn into Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians identified as Abed Salah, Bassem Salah and Sadeq Salah were detained from the Jerusalem town of al-Eizariya.

In the northern West Bank, forces handcuffed and detained Walid al-Adili, 23, Mahdi Dweikat, 18, and Abdul-Raouf Dweikat, 20, after breaking into and searching their family houses in Beita town, south of Nablus.

Forces also raided the nearby town of Huwwara, where they briefly held and interrogated several locals.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Barham, 21, and Muhammad Ishtaiwi, 20, were detained from Qalqiliya district.

Further to the northern West Bank, forces handcuffed and detained Mahdi Fayyad and Muhammad al-Sa’di from Tulkarem.
