EASTERN CAPE – Flagstaff Police arrested a 24-year-old man for alleged murder of a 35-year-old man. It is alleged that the suspect once saw the 35-year-old man standing with his girlfriend. On Wednesday, 05 February 2020 at about 20:30 at Nqabeni Locality, Hewu Village, Flagstaff, the suspect came across with the 35-year-old man.

The suspect drew his knife and allegedly stabbed the 35-year-old man on his upper body. The latter passed away at the scene. A murder case was registered at Flagstaff Police Station. The suspect was traced and arrested.

The suspect has been formally charged with murder. The suspect will appear before the Flagstaff Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 07 February 2020, on a murder charge. The identity of the deceased is still being withheld until all his relatives are officially informed of his murder.
