Joint team continues unabated to clamp down on drug trade in Kuruman

The joint team comprising of Kimberley K9 unit and Crime Intelligence dealt drug dealers a hard blow after they arrested two males and confiscated large amounts of dagga during raids in Seven Miles in the Kuruman area this morning.
The first search warrant was executed at 07:00 at a house in Seven Miles where the team arrested the 46 year old male owner of the house.
They found a plastic bag hidden in a wardrobe containing dagga with an estimated street value of R107 770 and mabara valued at R2 935-00.
At 08:00 the second premises also in Seven Miles was raided and after searching the premises a male was arrested after police found large amounts of dagga concealed in black plastic bags estimated at 1,5 million rand and cash amounting to R3 520-00 believed to be the proceeds of the sales of the dagga.
Both suspects will soon appear in the Mothibistad magistrates’ court on charges of dealing in dagga.
Brig Nicky Mills commended the team for their relentless efforts in clamping down on drug trafficking in the Kuruman area.
