Speaking to ANGOP, the Executive Director of the KAZA, Morris Mtsambiwa, from Botswana, emphasized that, beyond the issue of conservation, the Okavango Zambezi “project needs to be known worldwide, which should lead to a greater openness and information to potential visitors”.
He stressed that for the event, KAZA is promoting the bank card “Kaza visa” to its five members, divided into four phases, namely, Zambia and Zimbabwe (first phase) and Angola, Botswana and Namibia (second phase).
The third phase will include other countries, such as Malawi, Lesotho and South Africa, while the latter will cover the other countries of Southern Africa.
The Okavango/Zambezi project has a dimension of 278,000 square kilometers, of which Angola has 87,000 square kilometers, integrating five Southern African countries (Angola, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe).
