EASTERN CAPE -Kei Mouth Periodical Court convicted and sentenced 29-year-old man Sicelo Sakhela. It is alleged that during December 2019 a holiday maker left his holiday home locked. On his return, he found that his home was broken into.
A case of housebreaking and theft was opened at Kei Mouth Police Station. Investigation led to the arrest of the accused on 25 April 2020 and all the properties of the complainant were recovered from him except liquor.
The accused pleaded guilty on Wednesday, 19 August 2020 to the charge of housebreaking and theft. He was sentenced to undergo two (2) years imprisonment. He was also declared unfit to possess firearm.
