KwaNobuhle police seek public assistance in solving murder and robbery cases

KING WILLIAM’S TOWN: Police are appealing to the public for assistance in solving a murder of a 36-year-old man, Siviwe Tata, who died after he was shot in KwaNobuhle yesterday.

On Tuesday, 11 December 2018 around 8:30pm, police responded to a complaint of shooting at Ngqika Street, KwaNobuhle (Uitenhage). At the scene, police found a lifeless body of Siviwe Tata (36) in the yard with several gunshot wounds. At this stage there are no witnesses as the neighbor only heard four gun shots. Suspects (s) are still at large and police opened a murder case.

In another incident, on Wednesday, 12 December 2018 around 01:45am, it is alleged that three armed men kicked open a shack door and held owner at gunpoint and stole a cellphone and a vehicle battery before fleeing the scene. At this stage, there are no witnesses and suspects are still at large.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery and are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest in any of these cases to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Deon Arnolds at 082 319 9223
