Limpopo hosts Executive Council Budget Lekgotla, 25 Nov

Limpopo Provincial Government will meet during EXCO Budget Lekgotla to assess and deliberate on a number of issues relating to budgeting, infrastructure, state of municipalities, local government readiness and performance of State-Owned Entities amongst others.

The Premier, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will deliver an opening address. Objectives of the Lekgotla are as follows:

To assess the realignment/ proposed budget adjustment of the 2015/16 budget allocations based on the MTEC Hearings;

To confirm priorities and budget requirements for the 2016/17 – 2017/18 MTEF;

To assess progress on the implementation of the Provincial Clean Audit Strategy;

To assess progress on the implementation of Infrastructure Projects for 2015/16 including readiness for 2016/17.

The meeting will also get a comprehensive Back to Basics Report, with emphasis to Municipal Infrastructure and expenditure trends, preparations for 2016 Local government elections and other Service Delivery imperatives.

The Lekgotla will be attended by all MECs, Acting Director-General of Limpopo, Heads of Departments, Heads of State-Owned Entities as well as senior government officials.
