Limpopo on end of Grade 12 examinations

End of Exams – Department wishes all the learners the best

The MEC for Education in Limpopo, Honourable Ishmael Kgetjepe on behalf of the department and the education sector in general wishes all learners the best during festive season. This follows the end of Grade 12 examinations today with other grades in different schools also having started wrapping their programmes last week.

Grade 12 learners wrote Agricultural Management Practice in the morning and Design coming in the afternoon today. The 2016 Grade 12 Examinations started on the 19th October with Computer Applications Tech Practical. Majority of learners in Limpopo started on the 26th October with English papers.

A total of 110 557 full time and 20 975 part-time learners sat for the grade 12 examination this year. They wrote in 16 99 examination centres. Examination process went smooth but there was an unfortunate incident of paper leak in Giyani area that affected some learners. The suspect in this regard has appeared in Viyani Magistrate Court on the 16th, 23rd and 24th November for formal bail application. The bail has been denied and the male suspect, Tinyiko Khosa will appear again on the 19th December. Further investigations on this regard continue.

The MEC for Education will announce the results on the 5th January 2017 in Polokwane. This will follow the announcement of the national results on the 4th January 2017.
