Limpopo Police make breakthrough in the case of the murdered mine workers

DRIEKOP – The Police have arrested five suspects (5) suspects aged between 21 and 30 for the horrific incident in which six mine workers were killed in a bus on Monday evening.

The high level investigation team that was establish to track down these killers, spent two sleepless nights since the incident was reported and nabbed the five at different locations.

The five suspects will appear in Mecklenburg Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 5 April 2018 on charges of six counts of murder, malicious damage to property and attempted murder.

Meanwhile, the process of identifying the six deceased has already commenced and an appropriate pronouncement will be made in due course.

The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has commended members of this team for the sterling detective work and the speed in which they managed to crack this gruesome case.

Police investigations are still continuing and more arrests cannot be ruled out.
