Limpopo police utilise radio broadcast to share crime prevention hints

HLOGOTLOU: The South African Police Service in Hlogotlou outside Groblesdal have yesterday, Friday 1 November 2019 conducted a radio interview with Sekhukhune FM with the purpose of addressing crime trends in the area.

Members of the community were also mobilized on the upcoming Imbizo of the Deputy Minister of Police, Mr Cassel Mathale and the provincial launch of the Safer Festive Season events to be held at Loraine Sports Ground in the Maake Policing area outside Tzaneen on Monday, 4 November 2019, that is aimed to address gender based violence, crime in general and to warn the public to be careful and watchful as the festive season approaches.

Another focus was on the prevention of burglary businesses and residential and theft.

The campaign was further taken to Moratiwa shopping mall and the focus was on the following:

* Prevention of fraud, robbery and theft at the ATM’S

* Advising to call the police immediately they witness any criminal activity in and around their respective places

* Reporting of missing person immediately. They were advised to report a missing person immediately after they have noticed that the person is no were to be found. There is no waiting period to report the missing persons.
