The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Department will be conducting maintenace in Blaauwberg, Kuils River and the surrounding areas. Read more below:
Blaauwberg
Residents of Sunningdale, Parklands, Blouberg, Melkbos, Big Bay and Duynefontein are advised that major repair work will take place to fix a damaged bulk water main currently feeding their areas. The City is making adjustments to the network in the area to ensure supply is maintained as far as possible while repairs are underway, however it is possible that some residents may experience low pressure or intermittent supply disruptions from 23:00 on Friday, 17 May 2019 until 23:00 on Sunday, 19 May 2019.
Kuils River
Maintenance work affecting St Dumas, Jagtershof, Mikro Park, Loucharmente, Eikenbosch and Amandelsig areas will be undertaken on Thursday, 16 May 2019 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. Some areas may experience low water pressure or no water at all in other areas.
To assist residents with a supply of fresh water during the above mentioned hours, a water tanker will be stationed at the Checkers Centre in Langverwacht.
All taps should be kept closed during this period to prevent any water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored. Residents are kindly requested to store water in clean, sealed containers for use during this period.
