On 2021-08-16, members from the Provincial Task Team, Tactical Response Unit in Umtata was busy with detached duties in Covimvaba, when information was received about a suspect in possession of a robbed firearm.

The suspect was located in the Diphini locality, Mcucuzo a/a in Cofimvaba, where a Star Norico 9mm pistol with a magazine and four (4) live rounds were found in his possession. He was arrested.

The (23) year old accused will appear before the Cofimvaba Magistrates Court on the 17th of August 2021.
