Man (62) arrested for stock theft

NORTHERN CAPE – On Monday, 16 December 2019, a 62-year-old man was arrested for stock theft at Seoding village outside Mothibistad by Kuruman stock theft and Kuruman Pop units at about 12:00 during the day.

It is alleged that the two units went to the suspect’s place after a tip off from the community.

While the officials were searching the place, they found three sheep carcasses.

After failing to explain to the officials the whereabouts of the carcasses the suspect was arrested for stock theft.

He will appear before Mothibistad Magistrates court soon.

The cluster Commander of John Taolo Gaetsewe Major General Johan Bean applauded and complimented Kuruman Stock theft as well as Kuruman Pop for the work well done. General Bean also encouraged all police officials in JTG to be at all times alert on cases of this nature especially during this festive season.

The community should keep on giving the police any information which entails any criminal activities in JTG. Hence, all criminals will be taken away from the community and be jailed, said General Bean.
