Man arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen property

NORTHERN CAPE – On Wednesday, 13 November 2019 at about 05:30, a 25-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen goods at Bankhara outside Kuruman.

He was arrested by John Taolo Gaetsewe (JTG) crime Intelligence and Kuruman POPs. The officers went to a house and started to search and found suspected stolen goods such as televisions, cameras, memory sticks, speakers, cellphones, keyboard, etc. The value of the items is estimated to R100 000-00. The man was arrested after failing to explain to the officers as to where did he get the items and also failed to produce the necessary documents which can indicate that the items belongs to him.

The Cluster Commander of John Taolo Gaetsewe, Major General Johan Bean applauded POPs and Crime Intelligence for their intelligence tactical driven move in following the information.

The suspect will appear before Kuruman magistrate court very soon.
