Man arrested for business burglary at Post Office

KIMBERLEY – The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Major General Henriette de Waal has applauded De Aar Detectives in connection with the arrest of a suspect that committed business burglary.
The burglary was reportedly committed at De Aar Post Office in December 2020. A substantial amount of cash was stolen after the safe was grinded open.
A team of dedicated Detectives was assembled and thorough investigations were put in place. A 34 year old man was linked to the burglary and was arrested today at Beaufort West with the assistance of De Aar Crime Intelligence.
The suspect is expected to appear before the De Aar District Court on Monday, 11 January 2021.
Police investigations are continuing.
