Drugs are one of the contributors in the commission of crime therefore police in Mthatha are committed in putting behind bars all the perpetrators of selling drugs to our communities. Members of Mthatha K9 Unit followed information that yielded in positive results when they arrested a 37-year-old man at Owen Street in the CBD yesterday, 17 February 2018 at about 16:00. The suspect was found in possession of 355 Mandrax tablets with the street value of R142 00.00 and a sum of R15 310.00 cash. The suspect will appear before Mthatha Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 17 February 2018 facing charges of possession and dealing in drugs.
