GRAAFF-REINET – On Wednesday, 19 February 2020 a 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl. It is alleged that the victim was removed from her biological mother and placed under foster care, under the care of the suspect and his wife.

The victim reported the incident to her uncle and further reported that it occurred on several occasions.

The suspect is due to appear in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate’s Court soon.
