Man arrested for theft of copper cable

NORTHERN CAPE In an effort to fight non-ferrous metal crimes the Police in Kagisho arrested a 48-year-old man after he was found in possession of suspected stolen copper cable.

On Friday, 17 January 2020 Kagisho Police followed up on a tip off that led them to an illegal scrapyard in Snake Park at Kagisho. Alleged stolen copper to the value of R5 550 was recovered and the scrapyard was closed down.

The arrested suspect is expected to appear before Court 20 January 2020 on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.
