Durban:Police in KwaZulu-Natal have arrested a man for allegedly threatening to shut down Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday. The threat was aimed at preventing the MTN8 Cup final between Orlando Pirates FC and Mamelodi Sundowns from taking place.
According to South African Government News Agency, the suspect had gathered a group of people at King Dinizulu Park in Durban to stage a march. However, those accompanying him managed to escape.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) emphasized in a statement that anyone who threatens to cause instability will face legal consequences.
