Man held for alleged murder

KIMBERLEY – Police at Plooysburg have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with a case of murder.
The arrest is a sequel to the mysterious death of a 29-year-old woman at Erfdeel farm in Plooysburg.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim died after eating food allegedly laced with a poisonous substance.
Post mortem examination, to be conducted soon, is expected to shed more light.
The suspect, reported to be the victim’s ex-boyfriend, is expected to appear before the Douglas Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 17 August 2020.
Police investigation continues.
