MEC Ismail Vadi launches rehabilitation of Road D904 in Sedibeng, 4 Oct

Rehabilitation of D904 Road set to benefit Sedibeng residents

As part of the October Transport Month Campaign, Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Ismail Vadi will on Tuesday, 4 October 2016 launch the rehabilitation of Road D904 in Sedibeng, South of Johannesburg.

The D904 Road serves as an important link as it connects the R82 to the Ironside, Evaton, Palm Springs and Sebokeng settlements.

The R23 million project is expected to restore the dilapidated 4.9km surfaced road, mend drainage structures as well as improve traffic safety of the general public using the road.

Additional objectives of the project include the provision of skills development opportunities, decrease transportation costs as well as provide economic empowerment to BEEs and SMMEs.

The project is expected to take 10 months
