MEC Jacob Mamabolo hands over house to sickly youth, 28 Nov

Gauteng Human Settlements MEC Jacob Mamabolo will tomorrow hand over a house to Gontlafetse Sehako as promised when the department came to know about her plight.

Sehako, who used to live in a shack, was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and doctors among others recommended that she lives in a well ventilated structure.

In July this year, as a temporary measure, MEC Mamabolo together with sponsors handed over Sehako a new well ventilated temporary two-room house that will help with her condition.

Sehako has been staying in a two bedroom shack in Diepsloot for 15 years.

In response to address Sehako’s plight the MEC promised that the Department of Human Settlements will assist with a proper home. The house is in the new housing development in Riverside Ext 28.
