FREE STATE – Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will on Saturday, 21 December 2019, visit the Free State Province, to join the SAPS Safer Festive Season operations.

The visit forms part of the efforts by the South African Police Service to turn the tide against crime ‘Zizojika Izinto’ this festive season.

Joined by the top management of the South African Police Service and the MEC of Police, Roads and Transport, MEC Sam Mashinini, Minister Cele will embark on community engagement by visiting public spaces, also inspect police operations and multi-disciplinary road blocks, to assess the safety plans in place ensuring residents and holiday makers in the province are safe and feel safe during the holiday season.
