The prevailing incidence of crime and violence in certain areas of Port Elizabeth attracts constant criticism from the community we serve. However, in these trying times of trying to fight this epidemic, the concerted efforts by our members in bringing criminals to justice has not gone by unnoticed.

The Cluster Commander for Mount Road, Major General Thembisile Patekile expressed his gratitude to members who have excelled in their duties in the last two months. Certificates of commendations were handed to members of Mount Road and Gelvandale detectives, PE Operational Response Services, PE Flying Squad and Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit (Gang Unit). This achievements must serve as an inspiration to other members to continue serving their communities with the skills you have been equipped with. This just shows that amid challenging circumstances at times, our members still excel in their vocations, added Maj Gen Patekile.
