Middelburg lost female reunited with her family

EASTERN CAPE – On 06 September 2019 a long sought after Middelburg resident, a 59-year-old Johanna Gallabooi, was successfully reunited with her family. For the last five years she was staying in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan, because of her deteriorating state of health.

It is alleged that Johanna Gallabooi went missing during 2015 after receiving medical treatment at the Dora Nginza Hospital in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.

Due to ill health, she could not remember where she orginally came from, and Johanna could only make mention of “Imetele, Van Zyls road, Qwaqwa”. This information was then followed up during an intervention between a Social Worker from the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, Ms. Pamela Rubushe and Warrant Officer Ronel Meiring from the Middelburg SAPS.

The positive attitude of both persons involved in the search for Johanna’s family led to a teary reunion early this month with her family from Midros, Middelburg, Eastern Cape Province.
