The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Honourable Senzeni Zokwana, will visit farmers in Joe Morolong Local Municipality, Mothibistad on Friday, 27 November 2015.
This community imbizo will provide a platform for farmers to interact with the Minister and the provincial leadership on service delivery issues as part of government’s ongoing National Imbizo Focus Week.
In May 2015, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced in his budget speech that 100 Namaqua sheep breed will be donated to farmers in the Northern Cape. On the day of the imbizo, the Minister will be distributing flocks of five ewes and a ram to 23 beneficiary sheep farmers of Dr John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality.
