Minister Tokozile Xasa hosts Woman and Sport breakfast, 23 Aug

2018 marks the centenary celebration of the former President, the late Dr Nelson Mandela and Mama Albertina Sisulu. The centenary provides the country and the world with an opportunity to reflect on the values and characteristics of their lives.

South Africa celebrates women’s month in August 2018 with the main theme 100 Years of Albertina Sisulu: Women United in Moving South Africa Forward

This Thursday, Minister of Sport and Recreation South Africa, Ms Tokozile Xasa, will host a breakfast with the theme:100 Years of Albertina Sisulu: Women United in Moving South Africa Forward – Changing the Culture of Sport for Women with event details as follows:

Venue: Presidential Suite, SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium, Centurion in Pretoria

The theme of the breakfast both captures the focus of the Centenary of Albertina Sisulu in 2018 and provides for continuity with the national government theme and past themes focusing on Women’s Month. Sport and Recreation has a rigid male culture. Strategy is culture driven and hence the enhancement to the theme with the addition, Changing the Culture of Sport for Women.
