The Police in Maake outside Tzaneen are investigating the death of a reportedly missing child, Khaya Restoration Rikhotso aged five (05) years from Hoveni village.

The deceased was allegedly found by a passer-by in the surrounding bushes following a massive search operation by the Police, the family and the local community. The Circumstances around the victim’s death is subject to the ongoing Police investigations.

This discovery follows his disappearance on 2018-09-06. It is alleged that his grandmother saw him playing at the gate inside the yard. Later on, she checked on him and discovered that he was nowhere to be found.

An inquest docket has been opened for further Police investigations.
