Mitchell’s Plain Community joining hands with SAPS in the fight against Drugs

Two men were arrested on 2019-01-16 in Lentegeur by police attached to the Tactical Response Team (TRT) and K9 Unit. Police followed up on information they received from the community about drugs being sold at an address in Varing Street Lentegeur. Upon their arrival, police searched the premises and found a total of 200 packets of Tik, 300 straws of Heroine and 50 Madrax tables worth a substantial value.

The two men aged 45 and 47 were arrested and will make a court appearance at Mitchell’s Plain Magistrates’ Court once charged for dealing in drugs.

The Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula commended the community for being eyes and ears of the police and encourage more people to get involved in the fight against crime.
