Mopani District Police continues with COVID-19 adjusted Level 3 Regulations compliance

MOPANI DISTRICT – SAPS members led by the District Commissioner, Major General Maggie Mathebula have on Thursday, 28 January 2021 conducted a COVID-19 compliance monitoring operation in the Giyani policing area.
Members patrolled several areas including Giyani CBD, Taxi Rank and Giyani Section F, and Dzumeri aiming to monitor compliance on the prevention of all categories of crimes and on the COVID-19 Regulations by members of the community.
The successes achieved were as follows:
47 x failure to wear a mask
02 x selling of Sorghum beer
20 x stop and searches conducted
15 x Vehicle checkpoints conducted
8 x Banks patrolled
8 x ATMs Patrolled
7 x Filling stations patrolled
6 x Taxi Ranks Patrolled
2 x selling Liquor (sorghum beer) in contravention of Disaster Mangement Act adjusted level 3 regulations
1 x Drinking in public
03 x Shops were monitored.
