POTCHEFSTROOM – Police in the North West arrested a total of 325 suspects from Friday, 4 October 2019 to Monday, 7 October 2019, for various crimes throughout all seven Clusters in the Province.

A total of 47 suspects were arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Out of these arrests, 27 suspects were arrested in the Brits Cluster, 10 in the Klerksdorp Cluster and 9 in the Rustenburg Cluster.

It was during the operations that 33 suspects were also arrested for alleged drug related crimes and 151 suspects were held for liquor related offences such as drinking in public, being drunk in public and illegal dealing in Liquor.

All suspects are expected to appear in various courts today.
