DURBAN – The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is continuing with their mandate to root out all the sexual predators in our community.

This is followed by an operation that was conducted at different Districts in the province from 03 March until 06 March 2022. The team of detectives from the same unit went to different areas such as Inanda, KwaMashu, Pinetown, Pongola, Mountain Rise, Kranskop, Msinga, Eshowe and other areas where a total of 98 wanted suspects were arrested.

The suspects were arrested for various crimes such as rape, sexual assault, robbery, kidnapping, assault and other cases. The arrested suspects are aged between 15 and 89. They have appeared at the various Magistrate’s Courts across the province.
