Most wanted suspect arrested with unlicensed firearm and ammunition

NELSPRUIT – A tipoff assisted police to bust one of the most wanted suspect in Bhuga, Kabokweni today, 21 November 2022.
The 35-year-old who has evaded arrest on numerous occasions was reportedly cornered at a local restaurant. During the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm with 16 live rounds of ammunition.
It is alleged that the suspect was sought in connection with a number of cases including truck hijackings, business and house robberies committed in Nelspruit, White river, Kabokweni, Barberton and Nhlazatshe.
The suspect is expected to appear at the Kabokweni District’s Court tomorrow, Tuesday 22 November 2022 for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
He is also expected to appear before different courts for other cases committed prior to his arrest.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela applauded the excellent work done by the Provincial Tracking Team. The General added that all suspects who are still sought will soon be brought to book to answer for their alleged involvement in criminal activities.
