Mpumalanga Traditional Affairs hosts Annual Cultural Ceremony, 15 Oct

The Hhoyi Traditional Council under the leadership of Inkhosi Sandile Ngomane, will be hosting the annual cultural ceremony at Hhoyi outside Komatipoort, in the Nkomazi Local Municipality. The Hhoyi cultural ceremony is amongst the 60 funded ceremonies by the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) held annually in Mpumalanga, to promote cultural activities, the role of traditional leaders in their communities and social cohesion.

Inkhosi Ngomane, who also serve as Deputy Chairperson of Mpumalanga House of Traditional Leaders (MPHTL) is expected to deliver a keynote address during the ceremony with a focus on the importance of cultural values in an effort to ensure that the spirit of Ubuntu is upheld.

Chairperson of MPHTL, Kgosi Mathibela Mokoena, Members of the Executive Committee of MPHTL, Traditional Leaders, the Nkomazi Executive Mayor, Cllr Thulisile Khoza and the local community are expected to attend the ceremony. Cultural dancers and performers will entertain the community during the function.
