Mthatha police presence continues to deal criminals a hard blow

Operation Stabilise aimed at controlling the rampant taxi violence and disregard for the law in Mthatha and surroundings continues to with crime fighting operations with notable success.

Various road blocks were held by the members and they resulted in the following successes:

Misty Mount:

A 22-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged for possession of dagga after being found with dagga weighing 6 kg street value R6 000. He is expected to appear at Livode Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, 19 April 2018.

Members operating in Mthatha CBD confiscated the following during the patrol:

5 knives, 3Mandrax, 2 A� bompies dagga 1 A� Tik sachet.

A 40-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of dagga after being found with dagga.

Another 23-year-old male suspect was also found with 9 dagga bompies and R160 cash.

Decoligny:

A 31-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle with no plates and engine tampered with. He is expected to appear tomorrow at Mthatha Magistrate’s Court.
