News: Five arrested for possession of explosives and ARV tablets

MELODING – Five suspects will appear in Virginia Magistrate Court on Friday, 28 February 2020, on charges possession of explosives and possession of suspected stolen property under Medicine Act 101 of 1965.

This after a Crime Intelligence information was received about someone in possession of explosives in Meloding, Virginia. The Anti-Gang Unit in Welkom, followed information to a house in Stilte Park, Meloding where a 30-year-old man was found. A request was made to search the house and explosives and ARV tablets were found in the bedroom. The man was arrested for possession of suspected stolen property and explosives. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of another man (30) on the same charges.

Further investigation led to the arrest of three females and employees of a Clinic in Meloding aged 43, 51 and 52 for possession of suspected stolen property (ARVs).
