News: Upington Border police and DPCI intercept bus with drugs

NORTHERN CAPE – The Upington Border police and DPCI intercepted a bus last night with drugs.

The police received information about a bus transporting drugs and immediately members of Border police and DPCI reacted swiftly. The bus was stopped and searched in Upington and upon search, a total of 3 618 mandrax tablets, dagga weighing 6,32kg and tik weighing 3,15 were seized.

Two bus drivers were immediately arrested and are expected to appear before the Upington Magistrate’s court soon.

The Provincial Head of Operational Response Service, Brig Monica Sebili applauded members for their swift reaction.
