Newspaper Review: Florida Attack Focus of Dailies

The three Palestinian Arabic dailies focused in their Monday issue on an live-fire shooting which targeted a gay nightclub in the city of Orlando in Florida, the United States, and which left over 50 people killed.

The dailies said 50 people have been killed, including the assailant, and at least 53 injured in an attack inside a gay nightclub in the US state of Florida.

On a different subject, the dailies highlighted remarks by President Mahmoud Abbas, who stressed that “al-Aqsa Mosque is a “red line” that we will never allow [anyone] to pass it].

Al-Quds said the Israeli army notified the families of two Palestinians, who carried out a deadly attack in Tel Aviv which left four Israelis killed last Wednesday, about their intention to demolish their homes as a collective punishment.

Al-Ayyam said Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil al-Arabi, is expected to arrive in Ramallah on Tuesday to meet with President Mahmoud Abbas.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said dozens of extremist Israeli settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem, where they performed Talmudic rituals.
