North West MEC Madoda Sambatha takes Vooma Vaccination Weekend Campaign to Kagisano-Molopo Sub-District, 9 to 10 Oct

North West Health MEC to meet Barolong Boo Tlou le Tau as part of the Vooma Vaccination Weekend Campaign Drive in Kagisano-Molopo

North West MEC for Health, Madoda Sambatha will lead a team of dedicated healthcare workers and volunteers in the sector this week, 09-10 October 2021 in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District as he takes the VOOMA Vaccination Weekend Campaign to the Kagisano-Molopo Sub-District. A session with the Tribal Authority of Barolong boo Tlou le Tau will be a key activity of the day as Traditional Leaders play an important part in mobilizing the community to ramp up vaccination in the targeted areas of Tlakgameng and Ganyesa.

“We are continuing with this clarion call made by the President to intensify our efforts to enable more of our communities to access the vaccine. Therefore as the Department we are taking the Vooma campaign this weekend targeting areas of Tlakgameng and Ganyesa in the Kagisano-Molopo sub-district. Traditional leaders are very important in this campaign and we will meet them” said MEC Madoda Sambatha

The Premier of North West, Mr Bushy Maape is also expected to join this weekend vaccination campaigns in the Kagisano – Molopo sub-district to help amplify the government call to everyone to register and vaccinate against COVID-19 virus.

The MEC is expected to have an open engagement session with the traditional leaders in Tlakgameng and Ganyesa during the VOOMA vaccination campaign as follows:

Apart from these two venues, there will be registration and vaccination services at Ganyesa Shopping Complex, Ganyesa Methodist Church, Anglican Church-Vragas and UCCSA – Southey.

Communities are therefore urged to take full advantage of the VOOMA Vaccination Weekend activities unfolding this weekend across the province to register and receive their jab.
