KING WILLIAMS TOWN – The acting Director of Public Prosecutions has recommended a discretionary minimum sentence of life imprisonment for convicted Nxarhuni SERIAL RAPIST because of the grievous bodily harm the accused inflicted on the complainants during rape.
This notorious serial RAPIST who has sexually violated a number of innocent women, Sivuyile Ngqula from Nxarhuni was found guilty for three counts of rape, househreaking and attempted robbery by the Bhisho High Court. He is expected to be sentenced today, 14 May 2019.
Ngqula was arrested and charged for a series of rapes that occurred between 2014-2016.
Count one, he was found guilty for raping 27 year old woman near NU Mdantsane on 1 January 2014.
On 29 November 2015 he raped a 65 year woman from Gcinisa, Peddie. He initially broke into the victim’s house with intention to rape.
He was also found guilty for rape of a 36 year old woman from Mdantsane on 28 May 2016.
On 3 September 2016 he raped a 35 year old woman near Mpundu village near Nxarhuni. He forced and entered this woman’s house, pressed her down trying to take her cellphone. This is where the attempted robbery charge comes.
The case was investigated by Provincial FCS and sentencing is expected to commence at 11 am today.
