DURBAN – The Kokstad detectives followed up information yesterday about the suspects involved in a business robbery reported over the weekend at Shayamoya.

Two suspects aged 25 and 29 were traced and arrested in the Kokstad area. They will be profiled to check if they are linked to other robbery cases committed in the Kokstad and surrounding areas. It is alleged that on 8 March 2020 at 04:00, the complainant was asleep when he heard a knock on the door from people who wanted to buy cigarette.

Immediately when he opened three males grabbed him and demanded money. They took money and cigarettes before fleeing the scene. A case of business robbery was opened at Kokstad SAPS for further investigation. The two suspects appeared today in the Kokstad Magistrates Court.

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula praised the team for the speedy arrest of the suspects.
