Operation Safer Festive Season in Elliot Cluster yields success

ELLIOT CLUSTER – As we approach the weekend several stations in the Elliot Cluster once again embarked on intensified operations and heightened visibility.

Barkly East and a Rhodes continued with the operations up until early in the morning hours. Rhodes being a very small station but with a big rural community focused on patrols on the farm roads and searches along the R 369.

Barkly East under command of Lieutenant Colonel Adolf focused on liquor outlets and Drunkenness and drunk and driving.

The two stations managed to search 182 people and issue fines to the value of R 2500-00.

The Cluster Commander Colonel Matshediso Gezani commended the members in intensifying our endeavours during Operation Safer Festive Season to ensure that all citizens feel safe and secure.
