On Thursday, 22 December 2022 police conducted Operation Vala Konke and arrested two suspects both aged 32 years for possession of drugs.
In enhancing visibility police conducted stop and searches at Chefane Location in Mooiplaas. During their patrols they received information about the selling of drugs at a certain house. They proceeded to the house and permission was granted to search the premises, upon searching they recovered dagga and Tik. Within the same yard they searched a male and found him in possession of tik.
Both were arrested and charged for possession of drugs. They will appear at East London Magistrates’ Court on 23 December 2022.
