EASTERN CAPE – Operation Vuthu Hawe continued last night from 18:00 till 02:00.

The operation aimed at monitoring compliance on Covid-19 regulation by liquor outlets and profiling of drugs.

Members focused on areas such as Komani, Engcobo and Sterkstroom

Seventy seven (77) suspects were arrested for various charges

Forty four (44) were arrested for drunken driving

Thirty three (33) were arrested for Contravention of Disaster Management Act

All arrested suspects will appear at their respective Magistrate courts on Tuesday, 06 April 2021

Other suspects were issued with J534’s.
