Police arrest man (58) with Mandrax and Khat

NORTHERN CAPE, The police in Frances Baard Cluster and K9 Unit, continued to lock down criminal activities, as they bust drug peddlers in the Frances Baard Cluster. A 58-year-old man was caught napping, when the police raided his house in Iris Street, Barkly West in the early hours of Friday, 07 February 2020. During the search fifty seven (57) quarters of mandrax tablets, eight (8) halves mandrax tablets, two (2) full mandrax tablets, 10grams of crystal meth and 4grams of Khat, including cash R10 700 were confiscated.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Barkly West Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 09 February 2020, on a count of dealing in drugs.

The Frances Baard Cluster Commander, commended the team for displaying high level of zero tolerance, against criminal activities.
