A dedicated team of investigators compromising the Provincial tracking and Detective services has been working around the clock since 09 February 2018, after the chilling discovery of 47-year-old Mapula Veronica Mahanyele’s body from Ga-Matlala Phofu and charred remains of an unknown person which were found inside Mahanyele’s burnt vehicle.

Three suspects, aged between 19 and 22, were finally cornered in Kallspruit village in the Seshego policing precinct. During the arrest, some of the items believed to be belonging to the deceased were recovered.
