Police arrest three suspects for farm attack, house robbery and theft of a motor vehicle

GAUTENG – Gauteng police on Thursday, 04 November 2021 at about 00:30 attended a complaint about eight unknown males who gained entry at a plot in Leeufontein, Bronkhorstspruit and woke the victim up with a torch light in her eyes.

The suspects ransacked the house looking for valuables. The 84-year-old woman was dragged and her hands and feet burnt with the blow torch, she was left in a locked bathroom. Her employee was also tied up at the back of the house and the suspects drove away with the victim’s Ford ranger bakkie, household possessions and cash.

The victim was taken to hospital for medical assistance.

The intelligence team, Bronkhorstspruit Detective, K9 and Tshwane District Trio task team went out to trace the suspects, and on the same day at around 09:35 managed to arrest three suspects, two males and a female. During the arrest the suspected stolen properties were recovered in Rethabiseng Ext 5, Bronkhorstspruit.

A Ford Ranger bakkie was recovered in Ekangala policing precincts abandoned.
