On Friday, 26 October 2018, the Northern Cape Provincial Trio Task Team, disrupted mission of criminals when they busted two suspects with unlicensed firearm, at Roodepan. The Trio Task Team disarmed the suspects, following an intelligence information, regarding criminal activities at the suspects’ resident.

Upon search and investigation in the house of the suspects, members of the Trio Task Team, discovered unlicensed firearm hidden in the wall. The suspects failed to produce the licence to possess the firearm.

We confiscated it and we will investigate, to ascertain as to whether the same firearm was instrumental in other criminal activities.

A male and female suspects are due to appear before the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on Monday, on a charge of possession of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
